Why are you so passionate about (life) BALANCE?
I used to be in a place where I felt tired, stagnant, and unmotivated, so I started paying more attention to the foods I was putting into my body and the poor habits I created around exercise. Fed up, I made one small change -- literally as simple as substituting almond milk for cow milk in my fridge -- and that kickstarted even more changes. I love how I feel now. And this passion has lead me to get more trainings and certifications so that I can help other people feel the same way.
Your certifications say you're a fitness instructor and a health coach. What exactly is a health coach?
A health coach is simply a person who helps keep you focused on your health and fitness goals and helps keep you accountable. With my background in fitness and love for healthy-living, I find passion and success in collaborating with people to revitalize their health and fitness routines.
Oh, I get it. This is a diet. Are you going to make me quit eating and drinking the things I love?
No, this isn't a diet. I actually hate that word because it implies restriction. And no, I'm not going to make you do anything you don't want to do. Everything I offer up is a suggestion. If you love to go out to restaurants for dinner and eat whatever you want, then we'll talk about other meals during the day where you have the opportunity to balance it out. If you love fast food, then we'll figure out recipes you can make at home that will emulate your favorite fast food meals. Whatever it is, we'll come up with a plan together that still honors the things you love but helps you achieve your health and fitness goals.
I'll go to fitness classes every now and again, but I haven't exactly accounted for more of them in my budget.
No problem. I love finding things to do that cost little to no money. If you want to go for a hike, we'll go for a hike. If you want to bike the Cherry Creek trail, we'll bike the trail. If you want to go for a walk, we'll go for a walk. The world is your oyster!
And if I want to go to a class, you'll come with me?
Most definitely. Even trampolining.
How much do you charge?
What's the normal length of an offering? How much time am I committing to?
The time commitment also varies. Some clients have short-term goals and some have longer ones. However, the minimum commitment is 3 months so we have adequate time to track changes.
So, when our collaboration ends, does this mean that I can't get your help again?
Absolutely not! I want to know how you're doing and what discoveries you've made along the way. What you learn will help me and help other clients. We are a community. And if you need one-off or limited-time help after our collaboration, we can always work together again on another personally curated offering.
