I began practicing yoga in 2007. A dear friend introduced me to Laughing Lotus NYC and I was hooked on the "shape-shifting" Vinyasa Lotus Flow. In 2013, I received my 200-HR RYT from Lotus. There I learned the depth of the physical practice, the power of the breath, and the importance of togetherness and community. These values took me on to get my Health Coach certification from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition so I could help more people reach their goals of healthy eating and physical fitness, ultimately assisting them in achieving a more balanced life.
I believe in the power of collaboration and accountability, the value of listening to your body and nurturing its needs, and never living a day without practiced kindness. And I know that we can all exceed our own expectations, just sometimes we need that little extra push.
When I'm not testing recipes in my kitchen or breaking a sweat in one of my classes, I like to spend time with my wife and cats, go hiking in the beautiful mountains of Colorado, find good sales and deals for all my favorite things, and watch RuPaul's Drag Race.
